We actually had early dinner there and unfortunately there’s no room available for last minute booking since it was the weekend and also there’s lumberjack festival.. we enjoyed the food, the service as well as the amazing lake view! Live Music started from 5pm and it was great!

If you are looking for a quiet stay on an sparkling clean lake, this place is perfect. Its a beautiful old building, built in 1927 featuring beautiful Chestnut wood. The bathrooms are updated but the rooms are close to original. The staff is kind and friendly. The chef is excellent! We very much enjoyed our stay.

Needed a place to stop overnight while driving from Western NY to NYC, so I stopped at the Chestnut Inn on a whim. It's a really beautiful property on the lake, with warm vibes, and very friendly service at the front desk, bar, and restaurant. The room was spacious and well heated, comfortably furnished, with a well appointed bathroom and a bathrobe available. I'm thrilled that I found this place - a really wonderful haven. I'd recommend The Chestnut Inn to other visitors wholeheartedly.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Chestnut Inn during a last-minute late-night check-in, and I can confidently say it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly courteous and helpful. They took the time to explain our room options and recommended the suite at the best choice financially, which I really appreciated-there was no attempt to overcharge us for our late booking. The atmosphere at the bar was delightful, with a warm, friendly vibe that made it a perfect spot to unwind after our journey. It felt like a welcoming community where everyone was genuinely nice. The highlight of our stay, however, came during checkout. When we asked the front desk to call a taxi, we were informed there was no taxi service available. When we explained that my mom had been in an accident in Pennsylvania, the staff member immediately offered to drive us the three miles without hesitation-and he refused to accept any money for the ride. This level of hospitality truly goes above and beyond what one would expect. Overall, the Chestnut Inn exceeded all expectations. With exceptional service, a welcoming atmosphere, and staff willing to help in difficult situations, I highly recommend this inn to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. I recently went to the Chestnut Inn for dinner. This was my first time visiting but I will surely be back. The location is picturesque on a beautiful lake. The bar and dining room have a wonderful view of the lake. The dining room itself and interior of the hotel is welcoming, well maintained and filled with charm. The staff were very attentive and accommodating. The food was outstanding. We ordered a wide variety of items from the menu and everything tasted great.

I was pleasantly surprised by the setting at chestnut inn. It was a beautiful day to enjoy dinner overlooking the lake. Peaceful and serene. A nice little hidden gem. We had dinner at the restaurant. I had the mussels dish as I wanted to eat something light. The sauce was delicious, I substituted the fries for mashed potatoes and it paired well. My family were staying at the hotel so we got to take a peek at the rooms. The suite was cozy, clean, and love the Pendleton vibe. I would definitely come back.

I recently had the opportunity to take my family to the Chestnut Inn for Thanksgiving dinner. The environment is first class - tasteful, comfortable, historic, charming, etc. It was my first visit, but certainly not my last. Lakeside dining adds to the experience. The food was good. I thought the drinks a bit pricey - (Not a drinker myself, so I am not certain what one would normally pay, but $15 for a glass of wine and $19 for a cocktail seemed pricey for the area). Overall the food was well prepared and delicious. It was a buffet which allowed for generous self served portions. The only really criticism - one might expect when paying a premium price for a meal and an elegant facility that the appearance of the staff would be more professional. I may be showing a particular bias, but McDonalds does not allow employees to have visible tattoos - maybe they owners of the inn should consider a similar policy - several staff members were covered with tattoos that were highly visible. It just takes away from the elegance of the event to see such a display.

Went for dinner and was very pleased. The service was first rate. Josh very attentive to our wants. I had the French onion soup and the pub burger. One of the best burgers I've ever had. The flavor was phenomenal. We were 3 adults and 1 toddler, everyone loved their meals. Our cocktails from the bar were spot on, again Josh knocked them out of the park. Charity came and greeted us, talked with us and made sure we were happy with everything. Service was great, location beautiful and food spot on! Delish. Cannot wait for warmer weather and sitting outside by the lake. Well done!!
